Which cookies Zodified uses, why, and how to control them.

1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. We use only a small number of cookies and none of them are used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
2. Essential cookies (always set)
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sid |
Anonymous session identifier. Lets us deduplicate helpful / not-helpful votes (one vote per page per visitor). | 1 year |
zc |
Remembers your cookie-consent choice so we do not show the banner again. | 1 year |
These two cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function and to honour your consent choice. They do not require consent under GDPR.
3. Optional cookies (only with your consent)
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* |
Google Analytics 4 (loaded via Google Tag Manager). Aggregate audience and traffic measurement. We do not see your individual data. | up to 2 years |
These cookies load only if you click "Accept analytics" in the banner. If you reject, no analytics is loaded at all — not even with consent denied.
4. How to control cookies
You can change your choice at any time by clearing the "zc" cookie in your browser — the banner will show again on your next visit. You can also block all cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though we will not be able to remember your vote-deduplication state across reloads.
Browser-specific guides on cookie management: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
5. Third parties
When you consent to analytics, your browser communicates with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, both run by Google Ireland Limited (with onward transfer to Google LLC in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses). No other third party loads code on our site.
