Mars

Drive, conflict, anger, sex. Mars is the verb in the chart, what you actively do.

Mars is action, drive, anger, sex, and the verb of the chart. Where Venus is what you attract, Mars is what you pursue. Classical astrology calls Mars "malefic," a troublemaker, because his energy is aggressive by nature. Modern astrology rehabilitates this: Mars is the engine; without it nothing happens.

Mars stays in a sign for about six to eight weeks, so his sign at any given moment colours the season's drive. Mars in Aries: blunt, fast, direct. Mars in Pisces: action through indirection, harder to read.

AIstra reaches for Mars when a forecast needs the verb. "You'll feel like pushing today" usually traces to a Mars aspect. Mars conjunct the Sun: high drive day. Mars square Saturn: friction, slowed action, tempers worth watching.
