Opposition

Two planets across the sky from each other, 180 degrees apart. The tension aspect. Each pulls in the opposite direction and the gap is felt.

An opposition is when two planets sit at 180° from each other, on directly opposite sides of the zodiac. The two meanings face off. You feel both at once, and neither will let you ignore the other. Compromise becomes the homework.

Full Moon is the classic opposition: Sun and Moon on opposite signs, light at maximum, conscious need facing emotional truth. A Venus–Mars opposition stages the romance-versus-conflict scene. A Saturn opposition asks what you must let go of to grow.

Oppositions in a forecast usually feel like tension that wants a decision. AIstra writes them as the days when the situation will not stay neutral. They are not bad — they are dynamic. Resolving an opposition often produces the cleanest forward step.
