Transit

The current position of a real planet in the sky, read against your birth chart or against today's general weather. Every forecast on Zodified is a reading of today's transits.

A transit is the position of a real planet in the sky right now, read against either your natal chart (which planet it is passing over) or against the day's general configuration. Astrology is a transit-driven practice — almost every prediction is really a description of a current or upcoming transit.

For daily Sun-sign forecasting AIstra reads transits against the Sun-sign positions of the twelve signs, not against personal natal charts. "Mercury transits through your 3rd house this week" means: Mercury is currently in the sign that, counted from your Sun, falls in the 3rd-house position.

Transits are how the sky's slow motion translates into a day-by-day forecast. They are the reason yesterday's reading is not the same as today's, even if the underlying chart is identical. The transits moved.
