Fixed
Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) sustain. Middle-of-season signs. They finish what cardinal signs started, and they dig in when they probably should not.
Fixed is the second of three modalities. The four fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, and they sit at the middle of each season, when the season is most itself: midsummer Leo heat, mid-autumn Scorpio depth, mid-winter Aquarius cold, mid-spring Taurus bloom.
Fixed signs sustain. Where cardinal starts, fixed keeps going. The patience of Taurus, the focus of Scorpio, the conviction of Leo, the certainty of Aquarius — all flavours of the same modality: stay with the thing.
